Peculiar properties of spacetime ensure that the perception of the magnitude of Soon is fluid and dependent, not on an individual's time-reference, but on spatial and cultural location. A marketer generally perceives Soon as a finite, known, yet unspeakable time-interval; to a fan, the interval appears greater, and may in fact approach the infinite, becoming Never. Once the interval has passed, however, a certain time-lensing effect seems to occur, and the time-interval becomes vanishingly small. We therefore see the strange result that the same fragment of spacetime may be observed, in quick succession, as Soon, Never, and All Too Quickly.

that was a bit too episodic for my taste and i don't really get what the one press conference is supposed to have to do with the PI in the greasy part of town . . and the cubicle worker secretary in the end? O.o
and ever step
every step i think

toilet chimed the hour
i don't think toilets are supposed to chime the hour O.o
“Fuck, I dunno boss.

I think it might've just been a thing where they got more exposure in America than elsewhere, because I am one of the youngest guys on this forum and I remember Grimace. From my early childhood, granted, but the ads with Grimace and the Hamburgler and stuff weren't aimed at teens or adults.

I totally remember Grimace and the Hamburglar and Fry Kids and the rest, and I think I'm like second or third youngest here, if I recall the numbers in the "Who are you?" thread correctly.

The magus woke from the crow of the black pullet
wa?
and he cared not if he supped from chipped cups and cracked plates from spoons and forks where the silver finish had long worn off.
sipped and i think a new verb might be missing for the cutlery.
Forces would against him, on different planes.
and what would they against him?

Pullet == a hen. Also a reference to a grimoire.

Nah. "Sup" is a verb, same derivation as "supper."

Just a question. I got the feeling it had a Victorianesque setting, but then how did she know the sex of her baby before birth? I thought that was a modern thing since ultrasounds?

There are a lot of old superstitions about telling what the sex of a child is going to be before it's born.
